The album is currently the only physical CD I’m selling. It’s similar to “The Best of Charmin’ Billy”, but I left out all the songs about drinkin’ and cheatin’ and one-night stands, so as not to inflict any psychic damage on their young minds. They’ll find out about those things soon enough.
I took a rough version of the album over to the child care center where I work part time and asked the head teacher to listen to it and tell me if there were any objectionable songs I should remove from the final version. She said I should remove “If I Had a Million Dollars” because I make passing reference to Corona and Molson and “I will drink no more beer.”
But she had already played the rough version for the kids, and that turned out to be their favorite song, so she said I might as well leave it on the final version of the CD.
So far, none of the kids have developed a drinking problem.
Musician/producer credits and “The Story Behind the Song” are in my Kindle book “I Used to Have a Guitar But It Broke” at Amazon for $2.99, paperback $9.99.
